Tradeshow Booth & Merch Guide

Hurry Up Man Or We'll Miss Out On The Good Spots!

Tradeshows are, for geeks, like the Burning Man Festival. There are several that’ve popped up on our radar recently, so it’s been on my mind. Think about it; Your company sends you off to some exciting destination like Las Vegas, New York, or Scottsdale for a long weekend. You have a huge suitcase to lug - a tent, pop-up display, banners, speakers, and a stack of flyers for promotion. Everyone maxes out their pedometers, scooping up brochures and taking a mental tally of which businesses have the best set ups and who has the raddest giveaways. Attendees typically end up doing a couple of things at every show; trading swag with other attendees, making new connections, and getting completely overstimulated by the surroundings. Hopefully most go home with an awesome story to tell (and not a new face tat.)

Create Credibility Without Saying a Word

Tradeshows remain one of the most powerful ways to showcase your business, network with potential customers, and leave a lasting impression in your industry. But making the most of these opportunities requires thoughtful preparation and the right tools. Showing up is only half the battle (G.I. Joe theme plays), while standing out is where the real success lies. Having the right tradeshow essentials is the key to making an impact.

A strong visual display is the cornerstone of any successful tradeshow presence. Your booth needs to be eye-catching and inviting from across the room. A professionally printed 10x10 backdrop creates a cohesive and polished look, especially when it’s paired with branded table covers, signage, and banners. When your visuals are clean and well-designed, your brand communicates credibility before you even say a word.

How your team presents themselves is equally important. Don’t worry, we’re not talking about policing happy hour but mean matching branded apparel, like polos or t-shirts. These help attendees identify your staff and reinforce brand consistency. Be nice; your team may be standing or walking for hours, so comfort is key. Apparel should be breathable, stylish, and functional.

SHWAG.

No tradeshow is complete without promotional giveaways. These branded items serve as take-home reminders of your business, so choose products that are practical, high quality, and relevant to your audience. Reusable tote bags, drinkware, notepads, or tech accessories like chargers and phone stands are all great options, but Showpony can help you get creative. We make sure your logo and website are clearly visible and sharp-looking. A good giveaway is more than a freebie, it’s a marketing tool that keeps working long after the event ends.

This all also applies to your corporate retreats, sales conferences, and festivals.  When it's time to load up the van to take this show on the road, you better believe the Ponies are the smash-hit of the tradeshow floor. What about you? Start getting your set looking good now.
